Hi, I'm Nick Weaver!

The idea behind The Indiehood: one app to advertise and locate Do-It-Yourself concert venues and shows near you, with controls for visibility, safety, and venue identity customization. This project was created as an exercise in branding and identity. This brand is fictitious, but maybe someday it can be real. For your enjoyment, I present my dream project: The Indiehood.

One of my favorite types of project is designing collateral for musicians. In this project, I'll be showcasing designs I've created for the band Icarus Airline, as well as some older personal projects. The designs for Icarus Airline are still in use today, and feature prominently on the band's Spotify pages.

Thumbles_Comic is a humorous comic strip published on my time. Both the comic and the website are byproducts of my sole creative efforts and have been a labor of love since November of 2020. Digital artwork I've completed for fun and for use in various projects. Includes logos, merchandise, promotional covers, and digital and physical illustrations. These designs span multiple years. Additional information can be found in their captions. Consider this a dumping ground for designs that weren't necessarily part of a larger project, but still hold up!

The following 16-page publication is used by both the members of the Student Media sales team and potential clients of Student Media for the purpose of selling/purchasing ad spots and packages from various NCSU Student Media publications.

Roundabout is the official lifestyle magazine of NC State University Student Media. Articles, ads, and photos provided by other various contributors. All graphics and layout content provided by me. There is some mild image degradation due to the upload restrictions from Adobe Portfolio; all text is clean and clearly legible in print.

Double Barrel Benefit is a yearly two night concert series hosted by 88.1 WKNC — NCSU's student radio station. It is preceded by a 5-page publication which details the lineup of both nights, with additional event information. I designed the layout for 2018; photos and articles were provided by other student contributors. The pages are displayed in spread format.
